  • 50% of the anchor shares (approx. 47.08 lakh shares) are locked in for 30 days following allotment (until November 25, 2026).

Paras Healthcare IPO: Issue Structure and Fund Utilisation

The ₹1,450-crore IPO comprises a fresh issue of ₹500 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of ₹950 crore.

The fresh issue proceeds are intended primarily for debt repayment and general corporate purposes. Of the fresh issue, approximately ₹302.90 crore is earmarked for repayment or prepayment of borrowings at Paras Healthcare, while ₹54.10 crore is allocated to its wholly owned subsidiary for debt reduction.

The OFS component allows existing shareholders to sell shares. Proceeds from this portion will go to the selling shareholders rather than the company.

Hospital Expansion and Earnings Recovery

Paras Healthcare operates eight hospitals across North India, Bihar and Jharkhand, with a combined capacity of 2,211 beds. The company plans to expand its capacity to 3,011 beds by March 2028, including planned additions in Gurugram and Ludhiana.

The company's financial performance improved in FY26, when it reported revenue from operations of ₹1,605.95 crore and profit after tax of ₹43.83 crore, following losses in the previous two financial years.

EBITDA rose to ₹335.58 crore in FY26, with the operating margin improving to approximately 20.9%. Sustaining this improvement while expanding capacity will be an important factor in determining the company's future earnings trajectory.

At the upper price band of ₹693, Paras Healthcare's post-issue market capitalisation is approximately ₹7,498 crore. The implied price-to-earnings multiple is around 171 times based on post-issue FY26 earnings per share of approximately ₹4.05.

The valuation places considerable importance on future earnings growth, effective debt management and the successful commissioning and utilisation of additional hospital capacity.

What Investors Should Watch

While the anchor allocation has attracted several prominent institutional investors, the IPO's investment case will depend on more than the names participating in the anchor book.

Investors will need to assess the sustainability of the FY26 earnings recovery, the company's remaining debt obligations, capital expenditure requirements and its ability to generate adequate returns from planned expansion.

The IPO is scheduled to close on October 23, with allotment tentatively expected on October 26 and listing on October 28, 2026.
